  • Hill of Fare Wind Farm Public Meeting

The HOFWIG group are planning some public presentations during w/c 11th December, with the TORPHINS one being in the Mid Deeside Church Hall, St Marnan Road at 7pm on Thursday 14th December 2023.  All encouraged to attend.

  • Hill of Fare Wind Farm Application Info

RES has submitted a Section 36 application for consent to the Scottish Government for a 16-turbine wind farm proposal at Hill of Fare, approximately 6km north of Banchory, in Aberdeenshire.

Electronic copies of the planning application and planning documents, including the EIAR, can be viewed on (and downloaded from) the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit (ECU) planning portal at www.energyconsents.scot (reference ECU00004592) or the RES project website at www.hilloffare-windfarm.co.uk

In addition, hard copies of this documentation are available at the following locations for public viewing:

The closing date for comments is 12 January 2024.  Comments on the application may be submitted to the ECU in the following ways:

All feedback needs to identify the project and specify the grounds for representation. From Monday 21 August, the Council will operate a FREE minibus service between Lumphanan and Torphins to connect onto Stagecoach buses to Banchory/Aberdeen. We attach a copy:
